Project partners: Municipality of Satu Mare, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Council, Satu Mare County Council, Municipality of Nyíregyháza City with County Ranks

The aim of the project is to foster cultural exchange between Romanian and Hungarian partners through international cooperation with the partners from Satu Mare. In addition to mutual cultural understanding, the project also opens opportunities for inspiration and long-term cooperation. Moreover, it aims to make culture and the arts more accessible as cross-border tourist attractions. Through this project, intercultural relations will be strengthened, and the development of cultural services in the partner cities will enable artists and local residents to engage in the cities' active cultural life, thus increasing the role of culture in society.

Expected results include an increased number of bilateral cultural events, more participants in cultural life, a higher number of involved professionals and visitors, the establishment of new cultural centres, and the renovation of existing ones.

To provide the necessary infrastructural background, related developments are planned in both countries.

In the case of Nyíregyháza,a building located at 25 Bocskai Street will be renovated and extended. Following this development, it will function as a cultural centre. In addition to the infrastructure development, the Municipality of Nyíregyháza is responsible for organizing the closing conference, coordinating project management meetings, and actively participating in cultural events.

Satu Mare plans to renovate three buildings: a multicultural centre will be established, the Philharmonic building will be renovated, and air conditioning will be installed in the theatre building.
